The aid of China to Africa is increasing rapidly with the aid amounts unquantifiable. This is the reason as to why China’s Aid to Africa is bringing in controversies from the Western countries. The greatest China Aid to Africa is the year 2006 when China financed several numbers of projects. However, it has been noted that China benefits a lot from Africa and that is the reason it finances most of the projects without keeping records of the amounts of aid given.
This has been noted by King (2006) as he argues out that the aid China gave to Africa in 2006 “turned out to be an extraordinarily rich period for an analysis of China’s engagement with Africa, with a lens on aid policy and on education” (p. 12).
