The links between strategic management and leadership and the impact on the organizational development can be explained clearly by my own experience as a manager in ADNOC.
Profile of ADNOC
Commonly known ADNOC, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, is one of the largest companies in the United Arab Emirates dealing in oil and petroleum sector. ADNOC is ranked in the 4th largest oil-sector company, and have 90% of the gas and oil reserves of the nation in its charge. In ADNOC, the main focus is their employees, they realize that if the employee is unhappy, frustrated than the productivity of the company will be affected. This scenario can only take place when the management of the organization is harsh and unkind. The management, human resource, and leadership skills have the outermost impact on the organizational goals and significance of the success of the firm.
Link between Strategic Management and Leadership Style
“Strategic management is the organized development of the resources of the functional areas which are financial, manufacturing, marketing, technological, manpower etc., in the pursuit of its objective it is the use of all the entity resources, It is a set of policies adopted by senior management, which guides the scope and direction of the entity. It takes into account the environment in which the company operates”.
Hence, strategic management in simple words is the organized form of developing the mission statements and defining those approaches to accomplish the strategic goals with suitable operational systems of their resources.
Leadership
Leadership can be defined as the guidance of the organization and the acceptance of the results which the team/group derived from the organizational success. The managers and the team should have the proficiency to understand and to communicate the goals and visions of the organizations.
Leadership plays a vital role in the success of managers, which assist them in functioning on the desired preferences of the organizations and for strategically planning, managing and enduring success of the firm.

This has been the top-most matter for the managers how they will adopt these changes to survive in the market for future betterment.
